Step Forwards is a psychological practice that aims to help adolescents and (young) adults mentally through the difficulties of life.
Although anybody is welcome to book an appointment with me, I specialise in helping gamers. With tools catered specifically to this group I want to help them combat addiction, loneliness or other issues they struggle with.
HOW DO I AIM TO DO THIS?
Online consultations
Perfect for people who live further away or prefer the convenience.
Physical consultations
The most traditional approach. Very personal, set in a calming room.
Walk and Talk Therapy
Ideal for anybody that prefers to walk or enjoy the outdoors. Great for the introduction or final session(s)!
What psychological approach do I take?
I focus on Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), but what does that mean?
This method focusses primarily on thought processes, behaviour and how these two influence each other. For a variety of issues such as fear disorders, phobias, impulse control, etc. it often comes down to how you approach and think about these topics. Using CBT I aim to help you change your thinking and behaviour about what is bothering you in a way that alleviates the difficulties and help you combat it.
